'The End Is Near' or 'Another Change of Adress' or 'Why I'm Leaving YWAM'

The wind is blowing again and so I find myself sitting here, listening to the sound of my thoughts played out in short plastic keys bouncing off my finger tips.

I'm leaving YWAM. There, I said it. It's official and the change is coming. Dylan once said that there is nothing so stable as change. So, I'm count'n on this change to happen again. I guess what prompted it so was the lack of change. Not like evants and such; I'd sit in the street and play my music box for hours and only get a bit of change. Not enough save anyone though. I'm hearing the wind blow'n and so I'm getting ready to move with it. I'm coming home, as Dallas Green once said. I guess if anyone had to ask me why, I'd probably tell 'em it's cause I started itching again. Know what I mean? That feeling of irritation, like the inside of your chest has an unresting 'itch' cause your heart is jumping up and down and there ain't no way to stop it. Well, maybe one way I guess. You gotta have Vision. Perseverance is good and all, Paul told Jimmy that and we all know it. But perseverance is a deadly thing if you ain't got vision for why you're persevering. Vision is the reason why we're moving. The purpose to why we're breathing in the place we are.

"A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do."

I'm not saying that I don't have purpose. I know I have purpose and I know that there has/is a reason for me to be here. But that purpose is expiring and my dates are coming. The plane is leaving and so I'm getting my ticket. Simple reasons, I'm just moving. I'm thankful and in awe of my time with YWAM. I made a family. A World Wide Spider Web family. No one can replace that or take it away. But I got other friends and other Family whom I haven't seen in years. So I need to go, it's something I need to do. Friends are getting married, siblings are growing up and my life is changing so I need to go with it and change too. But I hope I don't forget anything or anyone. It's like the man said, "Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them."

Now all I gotta do is get a little change so I can pay my debts and get out of Dodge.

DTS Gone - Blog by Mikey

What changes have been going on around here?!  The DTS is OFFICIALLY OVER, :(      Incarnate has just started, :)  and I’m watching the days go by until the summer comes and many staff and former students leave.  I’m currently trying to compile all of the lectures from this past school and fit them onto discs for the students.  It’s crazy just how many weeks went by and what amazing times we had.  Here’s a quick view of most of our lecture topics and speakers:

    1. The Father Heart of God
    2. Catholic Theology P.O.V.
    3. Reconciliation
    4. Nature and Character of God
    5. Salvation and the Cross
    6. Jesus and the Emerging Church
    7. Relationships
    8. Holy Spirit
    9. Adoption-Fellowship-Conflict Resolution
    10. Celebrating the Banquet of the Nations
    11. Post Modernity and Evangelism

      …and so much more

Not to mention our many Reconciliation Tuesdays and our local outreach and trips we took.  This was an amazing DTS and we all grew in so many ways.   Ok, I got to go help set up lunch now.

    pura vida
